Become a Foster
Fostering FAQs:
Can I become a foster if I have pets of my own?

Absolutely. Most of our fosters have pets and this can help socialize and understand the dog more.

How long is a typical foster’s stay?

The duration varies based on the dog and their adoption timeline, ranging from overnight to several weeks. We also provide week-to-week fostering options.

What kinds of dogs need a foster?

TTM has puppies, teenagers, adults, and a few seniors that need fosters. All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and cleared by our vet.

What expenses are involved?

TTM is able to provide everything you need, though many fosters choose to assist by providing food and some basics. We also cover all medical expenses. You simply provide a loving home.

3. Socialization and Training: Fostering provides an opportunity for dogs to learn social skills and basic obedience, making them more adoptable in the future.

4. Flexibility: Fostering offers flexibility in terms of commitment, allowing you to choose the duration and number of dogs you foster based on your schedule and preferences.

5. Emotional Benefits: Fostering can be emotionally rewarding as you witness the transformation of a dog from being scared or neglected to becoming happy, healthy, and ready for adoption.

6. Supporting Rescues: Fostering helps alleviate the burden on animal shelters and rescues by providing temporary homes for dogs, freeing up space for other animals in need.
